a pretty embarassing post, but too funny to keep to myself

My friend Katie Q. loves journey. As in the band Journey. Her and her boyfriend Jeff own the DVD of their greatest hits, which I think her brother gave them, because the love for Journey must run in the family. After watching the DVD at her apartment once, I also fell in love with Journey. She let me borrow the DVD to put on my computer, which brings me to the point of this blog post. As i was watching the DVD one day with my friend Danielle, we were struck by how extremely funny the video for "separate ways" is. You can watch it here to enjoy for yourself. I thought it was ridiculous that the synthesizer was attached to the wall.

One day I had a little too much time on my hands and wondered if i could add a new piece to my photoshop hall of fame. I wanted to see if i could make it look like i was playing that awesome synthesizer. so i did...

and it's quite embarrassing to me for some reason, I'm not sure if it's because i look like a man or if it's because i actually wasted time doing it.

here's my original photo:

and here's the video screenshot:

and here's my mad photoshop skills in action:

I dedicate this post to the Quinlan family and their impeccable taste in classic music (and friends!)
